The lush beauty of the Santa Lucia Mountains attracts millions to Big Sur annually. Some lost souls come to find themselves by annoying the locals, others use the landscape to influence others into believing they live enriching lives, and most forget to feed the Dark Watchers when the dense fog rolls in.
For centuries, locals and indigenous people spoke of massive figures between the trees watching them as they hiked the mountains on foggy days. Residents often bring tribute in the form of food and leave for the Dark Watchers to keep the peace. Most believe in this tradition because when they return they find the food eaten and gifts taken… but perhaps it’s just the vagrants and raccoons taking things…
…but what if it’s not.
From the deranged minds of creators Michael Petersen and Edward Coffey comes a horror anthology series based on the lore of Big Sur. When folks forget to feed the Dark Watchers, strange things begin to happen and sometimes…folks just disappear.
Least that’s what we heard.
